Download Miracle Piano Teaching System Software
The operation of the Miracle Piano is at least without the software a little awkward because the thing has no display and you have to count button presses to select a preset sound. The modes (default key splits and 'library select') are selected by holding down the 6th button ('select') and stepping through the modes with the volume +/- buttons.

One of the engineers at MediaWink has come up with a Piano Discovery System (PDS) fix, enabling users to run the Piano Discovery System software on versions of Windows after Windows 95. Here is how it all came about, in his own words…
Growing up, I used the old DOS based Miracle Piano software, and later the newer Piano Discovery System (PDS) software. More recently I decided to start using the software with my children. The older, DOS based Miracle Piano software was a great innovation in teaching people how to play the piano by presenting lessons as text on the computer screen. Later, the Piano Discovery System came out for the Windows environment, with such improvements over the Miracle Piano software as more songs, video clips of how to play the notes on the piano, and audio instruction that speaks the lessons to you. This was just what my children needed, since they didn’t know how to read. It was also much more natural for me to have the lessons spoken to me, instead of having to read them. Piano Discovery System is the best piano/keyboard teaching software on the planet for children and adults and, last I checked, was available for purchase on eBay.
I tried installing Piano Discovery System (PDS) version 3.0 on Windows XP Home, and found that the music notes did not display properly.
I did a search on the internet and found that this was an issue logged since November of 2002.

http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/news/596/wwwboard/messages/36.html I searched and searched, and I couldn’t find a Piano Discovery System Fix anywhere. The Piano Discovery System was no longer being supported, either. Jump! Music, the maker, was no longer in business. So, I took it upon myself to create a fix…
After many late nights, and trying various things, I finally came up with a Piano Discovery System Fix that makes it so that Piano Discovery System (PDS) version 3.0 will work on post-Windows 95 Windows operating systems.
Many people have downloaded this fix. Here’s what a few people have said:
— “The installation was simple and now I can see the notation! Thanks for providing an update for PDS to support Windows XP.”
— “The patch worked great! Thank you.”
— “Yes it works – no problems installing”
Here is a review that was written up about the fix:
How to Install
First, install the Piano Discovery System (PDS) software, which is NOT supplied with the Piano Discovery System Fix. This fix assumes you already have purchased and installed the Piano Discovery System software (which was available for purchase on eBay, last time I checked). This fix was developed for PDS version 3.0, though if the same issue is found in other versions, this fix should make the notes display properly in these other versions as well.
Second, install the FIX, which is about 300 k in size. When you make your $9.99 payment, you should receive an email with a download link for the software. Download it and make a backup copy. Then open up the fix, and a wizard will step you through the simple installation. There may be a delay in the email, but if after 24 hours you have still not received it, contact MediaWink–see navigation bar on the left.
Follow the wizard installation instructions on the screen to install the fix. Note that you need to install the fix in the same directory as you installed the Piano Discovery System in. By default, the fix uses the same default directory as the Piano Discovery System used. In most cases, you can just press Next> and do not need to change the directory. If this directory is incorrect, you will be prompted for the correct directory. If you are unsure of the directory, you can either search for the directory of Piano Discovery System, or you can uninstall and re-install Piano Discovery System so that you will know where it was installed to, and then run the fix. Note that in most cases this should not be an issue, and you can go with the default install location.
After the wizard is finished, you should be able to run Piano Discovery System on post-Windows 95 operating systems! If for any reason you need to uninstall this fix, you can remove the fix, and restore Piano Discovery System to its original configuration by removing the “Piano Discovery System FIX” entry in the Add/Remove Programs section of the Control Panel, accessible from the start menu.
When you purchase the Piano Discovery System fix for $9.99 (US), you will need to supply the address on your credit card for verification purposes only. The fix will not be sent via mail. The fix will be emailed automatically to the email address that you use to make the purchase. The email will contain a temporary link for downloading the fix. Download the fix immediately and make any backup copies that you feel you will need. Watch your email carefully, being sure to check your bulk email (spam) folder, in case your email reader thinks the email is spam. If after 24 hours you have not received the email, please contact MediaWink customer service.
PLEASE READ: When you order, you will receive a link via email right after you order it. DOWNLOAD the fix IMMEDIATELY, and save a copy. If you wait for more than a few weeks, the link will expire. Also, you have 3 downloads, then the link expires as well, so download it and keep it safe. If you later lose it, you will need to RE-PURCHASE the fix here.
YES, the Piano Discovery System fix is still available, and will be automatically sent upon payment.
BEFORE purchasing the fix, take a look at oldapps.com or oldversion.com to see if they have Piano Discovery itself, and possibly other years as well. If they do not, upload the software, as there have been many requests from others for the Piano Discovery software itself. A: Yes. This fix should work on any post-Windows 95 operating system, such as Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, etc.
